Dr. Marian Limacher will lead an interactive session on “How to Succeed in Academic Medicine: Dos and Don’ts in Planning for Advancement.” Participants will discuss the components of professionalism, time-management, skills development and goal setting. An overview of the Promotion and Tenure process will also be presented.
Objectives:
- Identify key elements of success as a faculty member in the College of Medicine
- Recognize which areas to focus on to enhance your likelihood of success and advancement
- Understand the promotion and tenure process for the College and University
- Begin to prepare an action plan for the coming year
