Recognizing and Responding to Disruptive/Distressed Colleagues

4-10-iconThis session will address common causes and consequences of disruptive behavior among healthcare professionals in the workplace.  Strategies for intervention will be discussed.  Benefits to patient safety, staff morale, and career preservation will be highlighted.

Following this session, attendees will be able to:  1.  Identify factors commonly associated with disruptive behavior by healthcare professionals;  2.  Distinguish examples of disruptive behavior from excusable behavior; and  3.  Formulate a step-wise plan for intervening in the case of a disruptive or distressed colleague.
This seminar will also be video-conferenced to the Jacksonville Deal Board Room and the Aetna Conference Room.
