Medical Education Week: Feb. 17-21

MedEdThe College of Medicine’s Society of Teaching Scholars will sponsor a week’s schedule of events highlighting the education programs at the UF College of Medicine, as well as honoring faculty members who contribute to the advancement of medication education.


Noon-1 p.m. daily in Communicore Room C1-004:

  • Mon., Feb. 17: Dr. Lisolette Dyrbye – Physicians in Distress: Being a Doctor is an Occupational Hazard.

  • Tue., Feb. 18: Faculty Panel Presentation – Portfolios: Past, Present and Future

  • Wed., Feb. 19: Dr. Curtis Whitehair – How has Growing-Up Digital Impacted Learning?

  • Thu., Feb. 20: Dr. Paul Gulig and Dr. W. Stratford May – MD/PhD Program at the UF College of Medicine

  • Fri., Feb. 21: Elizabeth “Betty” Phillips – Alternative Learning Methods

Wed., Feb. 19: The 14th annual Celebration of Excellence in Medical Education Reception and Awards Ceremony, 5-7:30 p.m. in the BMS Atrium (by invitation only)

Gainesville Faculty – Lunch provided with advance registration only

Jacksonville Faculty – Lunch provided with RSVP one week in advance to denise.west@jax.ufl.edu
