The NIH is a critical driver for research and innovation in the US. However, grant writing is a daunting task for two main reasons: the application is complex and consists of many forms, while the odds of getting funded are small and getting smaller. In such and environment, producing a high-quality application is so critical that it has become an art: Grantsmanship.
