Mission statement 

Creating a community within a large organization gives members a greater sense of purpose and meaning to their work.  The University of Florida Women in Medicine and Science Professional Retreat will provide opportunities to become profoundly connected with other UF Health women faculty, giving participants a deep sense of belonging and pride.  We aim to accomplish these goals by combining structured professional development sessions with proven wellness activities in a comfortable and welcoming setting.

Audience

With a maximum of 20 women physicians, physician assistants, and scientists from UF COM, participants will certainly get to know each other.

Herlong Mansion B&B, Micanopy, Florida

Check in: Wednesday, May 10, 6 pm

Check out: Friday, May 12, 11 am

Please plan to stay for the duration of the retreat.  

 Fee: $300, includes accommodations and most meals and activities.  Accommodations are shared bedrooms and bathrooms. Therefore, spouses and children are not able to accompany you to this retreat.

Target Audience: COM faculty who identify themselves as a woman.

 

Accreditation: The University of Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
