Dr. Bianchi obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Rome, La Sapienza Italy. Her specialty is in Hyperlipidemia, Obesity, PCOS, Reproductive Endocrinology, Thyroid and Pituitary Disease, Endocrine Hypertension, Osteoporosis, and Women’s Health.

Dr. Gurka completed her MPH at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her PhD, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interests include maternal and child health, injury prevention and control, and substance abuse, particularly the prevention of fatal opioid overdose

Matthew Gurka Ph.D. Professor, Department of Health Outcomes and Policy. Dr. Gurka obtained his PhD in Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He is the Associate Director, Institute for Child Health Policy. His expertise is in Biostatistics, longitudinal research design and data analysis, pediatric research, and metabolic syndrome.

Shuang Huang Ph.D. Professor, Department of Anatomy. Dr. Huang obtained his PhD in Pharmacology from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Huang’s research interests include elucidating molecular mechanisms regulating cancer metastasis and developing precision medicine therapeutic strategies against advanced cancer.
