Melissa Armstrong M.D. Assistant Professor, Department of Neurology. Dr. Armstrong obtained her Medical Degree from the Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University, Chicago, IL. Her specialty is Movement disorders.

Fernando Bril M.B.B.S. (M.D.) Assistant Scientist, Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Dr. Bril’s specialty is“Type 2 Diabetes and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease”or NAFLD. He has trained here at the university of Florida in a Post-Doctoral position in these areas.

Kausiki Datta Ph.D. Research Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry. Dr. Datta received her  training at Louisiana State University. She is a Physical biochemist with extensive experience in studying the molecular mechanisms of protein-nucleic acids interactions using a wide variety of biochemical and spectroscopic approaches. Experienced in studying the mode of action of small molecule inhibitors and in developing high throughput screening assays for viral targets.

Somnath Datta Ph.D. Professor, Department of Biostatistics. Dr. Datta obtained his PhD in Statistics and Probability at Michigan State University. His varied research interests in the theory and methods of statistics, biostatistics and bioinformatics, as well as collaborative research in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, dentistry, cancer informatics, plant science and materials science.

Dr. Datta obtained her PhD in Statistics at the University of Georgia. Her goal is to develop a diverse interdisciplinary research environment, interests include bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, clustering and classification techniques.

Dr. Licht  is the new Cancer Center Director.obtained his Medical Degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
